Chad and Jessica’s wedding radiated pure joy. fun. happiness. Every picture I edited this past week has made me smile, remembering their perfect day! The Olde Mill Inn and Grain House was a beautiful location and the weather could not have been lovelier for an end of November wedding day! Jessica was gorgeous and so radiant!!!! A huge shout-out of thanks to Rebecca from Turnquist Photography for second shooting with me!!

This beautiful couple wowed me with their amazing just-go-with-it attitude and sense of fun! As soon as I started taking pictures of them, we felt rain drops in the air. Instead of being disappointed even once about the rain, they embraced every minute of it and we had FUN! I love the feeling in the rainy pictures under the lampposts ~ dreamy! I’m looking forward to their wedding this winter! Congratulations Bridget and Dan!

This lovely couple had a destination wedding so we were together for several days in a variety of amazingly gorgeous locations…..loved having the chance to really get to know them and their families and use my camera to capture their love for one another!

Caitlyn & Tom: married! | nj wedding photographer

I think I am in love with everything about this wedding day. I really wanted to edit every single picture and then just share them all, so it was kind of hard to just pick a few snippets to put up right away. Pair a blissfully happy and sweet bride and groom with a fun and close-knit group of family and friends in a gorgeous location and I can’t think of anything more perfect. I loved her amazing dress and fun blue shoes, and the way Tom looked at her as he saw her for the first time walking up the aisle! We started their pictures at the school where they met and both work, and then despite terrible rain showers and wind just as we arrived at The Manor, Caitlyn and Tom just rolled with it. We discovered some great spots inside and then dashed outside in between showers to get some dreamy misty shots. I’m glad I could share your special day with you, Caitlyn and Tom, and I hope you’re having an amazing honeymoon!

Benny & Sara: married! | nj wedding photographer

The day dawned bright & sunny. Rain showers were predicted in the afternoon so I was armed with two super cute umbrellas and a plan for some cute shots in the rain, but amazingly we never got even a single drop of rain. It was a perfect day in every possible way! I arrived at the hair salon where everyone was ahead of schedule, and seriously the whole day felt like detail after detail smoothly fell into place. When I got to the house to start photographing Sara getting ready, I literally gasped at how beautiful her dress was and how beautiful she looked. Sara, you are GORGEOUS! The whole day felt full of love–love between family members, love for God as the center of their marriage, and of course love for each other. Benny and Sara, you are a beautiful couple inside and out and I was honored to photograph your story! From your grandmother’s necklace to singing to each other at your reception every part of your day reflected the two of you so perfectly! I hope you are having an amazing honeymoon and your CD of images from the day will be ready in the next couple of weeks!

A huge shout out of thanks to my amazing second shooter too–Marcella thanks for holding up my giant reflector and lugging my gear and capturing all the other unique angles of the day with beautiful photographs!

margo & daniel: engaged! | nj engagement and wedding photographer

I truly enjoyed my shoot with Margo and Daniel at beautiful Ramapo Ridge last weekend… Margo was rocking a perfect summer outfit and adorable strappy sandals, which we teased her about wearing while hiking, but she navigated the rocky trail better than the rest of us Swatting away literally swarms of mosquitos, we reveled in the gorgeous light coming through the trees of the early evening sky and enjoyed the warm sun glow on the lake we hiked to. I loved watching them interact….I can tell they’re totally in love and very sweet with each other. And their puppy just made the shoot. She was a trooper the whole time, and seriously posed for pictures together with them. I love having the opportunity to get to know the bride and groom in a fun, relaxed way before their big day. Their wedding is going to be amazing….sunset pictures on the beach, gorgeous cliff views, and a beautiful happy couple….I can’t wait! Congratulations to you both and enjoy your pictures!

Vintage NYC Wedding | NJ Wedding Photographer

I had the most amazing day last week attending Justin and Mary’s Walk through a Wedding workshop. It was an incredible opportunity for me to go step by step through a wedding with a seasoned & amazing photography team. I cannot say enough wonderful things about my time with them–I loved how they pushed me to go as far as I could creatively, how they were behind me while I was shooting saying “why are you taking that shot? what is the why behind what you do”, how they taught me new techniques in lighting and posing that I can apply to my weddings this coming season, and how they encouraged me in my work. The bride and groom were so fun to work with (and seriously how gorgeous is she?!), the location was stunning, and I think the details are just fabulous! I’m really excited to share these pictures! Thank you Justin & Mary and Kathryn & Peter for an incredible day! You guys are the best!

And the why behind why I do what I do? It’s not just to capture beautiful poses, but to record the real moments of your day, the real emotion and feelings and joy. I love getting to know my clients and am so honored to share a piece of their joy, their lives, their families.
